Hi

the rabbitmq server crashed and in the log file I found the following error:

=ERROR REPORT==== 16-Jan-2012::12:56:26 ===
** Generic server msg_store_transient terminating
** Last message in was {'$gen_cast',
{client_dying,

176,149,67,212,244>>}}

After this error all connections have been closed.
I restarted the service and now it seems ok, here the results of the rabbitmqctl status command:
[{pid,24464},
{running_applications,[{rabbit,"RabbitMQ","2.6.1"},
{os_mon,"CPO CXC 138 46","2.2.4"},

...done.

The log entries doesn't help me.
Kind regards

    That's not the complete error - there should be

    ** When Server state ==

    and

    ** Reason for termination ==

    sections too - can you post those?

    Cheers, Simon

    From the logs:

    ** Reason for termination ==
    ** {{badmatch,false},
    [{rabbit_msg_store_ets_index,insert,2},
    {rabbit_msg_store,write_message,3},
    {rabbit_msg_store,handle_cast,2},
    {gen_server2,handle_msg,2},
    {proc_lib,wake_up,3}]}

    We believe we fixed this in 2.7.1 (although it was one of those that we
    got by staring at the code; we were never able to replicate it).

    Cheers, Simon

    Hi Simon

    Sorry for taking back this old thread, but my server crashed and in the log file there is a similar, but not exactly the same error.
    This error is on a server with the 2.6.1 version, can you confirm me that the 2.7.1 will address this issue?

    This is not the same thing. It's also not the beginning of whatever went
    wrong - this is already complaining that the direct client supervisor is
    not there. Could you post the log file somewhere?
