Hi all,

I cannot get the Management Plugin to work on my Windows 7 x64
installation.
After adding it with "rabbitmq-plugins enable rabbitmq_management" and
restarting the service I actually see an open port (with tcpview.exe).
But it is 5672, not 55672 as stated in the docs.

If I use any browser to navigate to the given URLs from the docs
(http://www.rabbitmq.com/management.html), modulo the changed port, I
get nothing...

Any idea what is wrong?
Thanks!

    5672 is the AMQP port.

Did you re-*install* (rather than just restart) the service after making
changes to the plugin configuration? See
    http://www.rabbitmq.com/plugins.html#windows-restart

Ah! OK, if I do this I see 6 plugins. But still no open port 55672.
    Thanks.

Check the rabbit log file. It should have an entry stating "Management
plugin started. Port: ..., path: ...".

I should have warned you: absolute newbie ahead ;)
Where exactly is this log file?

    Thanks again,

You presumably did find the startup log, since that's where the server
reports which plug-ins got activated, right? In the same log file it
will also tell you where the main server log is located. iirc the
    default location is %APPDATA%\RabbitMQ\log\<nodename>.log
