FAQ
Hi,

Does postgres support any system functions that
decode/decrypt the user passwords stored in pg_shadow
system catalog.

Is there a way to retrieve the passwords, if
forgotten.

Thanks in Advance.

Priya

No. They are MD5 and are designed to be unencryptable.
