We have quite a bit scheduled in Austin for the next three months. Here is what is on our calendar so far:

The conference will including presentations and workshops on Cassandra and Hadoop, how to manage location data, new trends in data mining and BI, and the state of MySQL. Other presentations to be announced in the coming week. Early registration ends Wednesday. We expect this to sell out soon.

- Hosted by GeekAustin
Here's your opportunity to come up to speed, trade tips and tricks, on Puppet, Chef, Hudson, Cucumber, and the other DevOps tools. This event will include an extended workshop on Puppet, led by Puppet Labs.

SXSW PARTIES co-hosted by GeekAustin

Word Press Party _ Saturday March 12th

We are currently wrapping up the GeekAustin PHP class.
A special thanks to Josh Butts of the Austin PHP Meetup for teaching this class. We could not have hoped for a better teacher.

Although we don't have dates set, these are the classes in planning for Spring 2011

1) HTML/ CSS - these are very basic classes for those with no experience with designing web pages. We will be offering the CSS separately for those who already have experience with HTML.
2) Version Control - an introduction to Git/GitHub
3) Basic topics in MySQL replication

For those who've asked, we won't be offering the Basic MySQL class and Certification class again until the fall.

We have had several requests for a basic Java class. If you would like to see classes on a particular topic, send us a note at [email protected]
