FAQ
Greetings,

I would like to take over the Services_Ebay package as the lead maintainer.
Since I haven't been involved with PEAR up to this point, I'd like to give
you an overview about where I've been and what I'm all about.

I am very interested in writing code that makes other code work. I like to
get as close to ground-level as possible. My career is taking me from
computer user, to IT Support Technician, to web developer (where I'm at
currently), to hardware driver writer for Linux, and ultimately to a systems
engineer/hardware specialist. I really enjoy getting my hands right into the
guts of an application and understanding how it works, so maintaining the
Services_Ebay package seems to me an ideal way to spend my spare time and
increase my skill set at the same time.

Thanks very much for considering me!

Hi Sean, great to hear you are interested!
At the moment, the package needs a bit of love.

    There's http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=6718 in SVN, but it's presumably
    not very well tested.

There's also a need to upgrade the package format to package 2.0 -
    http://wiki.php.net/pear/packages/migration has a quick howto.

Since ebay has changed its schema and this package presumably no longer
quite works, do you think you could take a look at Bug #6718 and provide a
bit of an outline as to what needs fixing, what you'd like to do with the
    package, etc?
