The windows version of PHP shipped with an outdated version of PEAR. Try

http://pear.php.net/go-pear.phar (you can overwrite the existing one)

Description:

Running Windows 7 64bit.
Apache 2.2.17 installed and running well
PHP 5.3.4 (php-5.3.4-Win32-VC6-x86 (TS) downloaded 29-12-10)
It's all running well - talks to MySQL and runs old scripts.

Can't load the PEAR Package Manager - Warnings generated but system
continues to run.



Test script:

c:\Program Files (x86)\php>go-pear.bat

Expected result:
----------------
Expect questions regarding installation options followed by package
install

Actual result:
--------------
phar "C:\Program Files (x86)\php\PEAR\go-pear.phar" does not have a
signature
PHP Warning: require_once(phar://go-pear.phar/index.php): failed to
open stream: phar error: invalid url or non-existent phar
"phar://go-pear.phar/index.php" in C:\Program Files

    Tried it, thanks, with the following result:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\php>go-pear.bat
    manifest cannot be larger than 100 MB in phar "C:\Program Files
    (x86)\php\PEAR\g
    o-pear.phar"Press any key to continue . . .

    Any Ideas?
