This is not a bug in the PhpDocumentor code.
It's a bad 1.4.3 zip archive in Sourceforge website.

If you download [.tgz] 1.4.3 from
http://pear.php.net/package/PhpDocumentor/download all is OK.
If you download [.tgz] 1.4.3 from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpdocu/files/ all is OK.
If you download [.zip] 1.4.3 from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpdocu/files/ .png files are .pn and
.css files are .cs.
If you download [.zip] 1.4.2 from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpdocu/files/ all is OK.

Description:
------------
Images/css are not copying properly during documentation generation with
'Web Interface'. Copying script is cutting last letter of file extention
in the destinatiion directory, for example 'blank.pn' instead of
'blank.png' or 'stylesheet.cs' (expected 'stylesheet.css'). The result
is doc page withous css formatting and images (bad url to file).
