Could you say a little bit about what they do?

mkdbmtransfer - transfer dbm files between different systems. Most of
the DBM classes do not produce compatible database files between hosts
with different byte-order, and there are also incompatibilities
between different versions (e.g. DB_File and berkeley db 1.85 and
2.x).

show_db - take a quick look into dbm files. Extract the key-value
pairs of a dbm file and dump it to stdout. There is also support for
MLDBM files with Storable or FreezeThaw as serializer class.
