FAQ
Hello.

Version 0.13 of Error.pm causes the newest version 5.6.1 of perl to
dump core.

% perl -MError=:try -e 'eval { throw Error::Simple("bang"); }; die $@ if $@;'
Segmentation fault
% perl -MError=:try -e 'print $Error::VERSION'
0.13
% perl -v
This is perl, v5.6.1 built for i386-linux

The output of "perl -V" is below.

Version 0.15 of Error.pm does not cause perl 5.6.1 to dump core.
Version 0.13 of Error.pm does not cause perl 5.6.0 to dump core,
but the command above does not die as expected.

I've not yet figured out what in Error.pm is triggering the problem,
but regardless of any potential bugs Error.pm might have, perl should
be able to handle them without dumping core. It's possible that
similar code might also cause problems for perl 5.6.1.

I'm probably going to solve this problem for myself by upgrading to
the newest version of Error.pm, if that does not break other parts of
my system. Let me know if further information would be useful.
