To support us
reaching our objectives we are currently looking for a Backend Developer to
join the Workflow & Research Processes department, anchored in Scientific
Data Management & Analysis within Novozymes Research. We are a team of IT
experts and scientists who develop in-house data management systems to
enable biotechnology innovation.
As a Backend Developer you will
specialize in building and maintaining our specialized scientific data and
research workflow support platforms which enable world class research. You
will be responsible for ensuring consistent, available and well performing
applications, and participate in the entire software development process,
from estimation and planning to specification, documentation, development,
testing and deployment, and afterwards continue with maintenance and

In this position you need to have:
A Master degree in IT, engineering
bioinformatics, or equivalent working experience.
expertise in professional software development, preferably with backend web
platforms. Experience in IT system administration, Bioinformatics, or IT
Architecture is an advance.
Practical experience with Linux based
development environments, object oriented programming, Perl, or another
dynamic language (python, Ruby), relational databases (preferable
PostgreSQL), and REST web services.
Analytical and problem-solving
mindset, with a collaborative and influential approach and a strong
Team player that proactively participates in both
individual and team related activities, and can communicate appropriately
