FAQ
Hello,

Another question :-)

Anyone has experience with using displaytag together with myfaces. I tried
and it worked good by now. But I read some time ago, that it is not
recommended.

What do you think?

Thanks again

    How have you integrated it with JSF?

    This is my code:

    <display:table name="${AdmMgr.aentrylist}" export="true"
    width="90%"
    id="currentRowObject"
    requestURI="/faces/admin/reports/index.jsp">
    <display:column property="userName"
    title="Mitarbeiter"
    sortable="false" headerClass="sortable" />
    <display:column property="sdate" title="Datum" />
    <display:column property="stimeTvltFrom"
    title="Anfahrt ab" />
    <display:column property="stimeTvltTo"
    title="Anfahrt an" />
    <display:column property="stimeFrom" title="Start"
    />
    <display:column property="stimeTo" title="Ende" />
    <display:column property="durBreak" title="Pause" />
    <display:column property="labourDur"
    title="G.Arbeit" />
    <display:column property="stimeTvlfFrom"
    title="Retour ab" />
    <display:column property="stimeTvlfTo" title="Retour
    an" />
    <display:column property="travelDur" title="G.Fahrt"
    />
    <display:column property="projectShortDescr"
    title="Kunde"
    sortable="false" headerClass="sortable" />
    <display:column property="orderNumber"
    title="Auftragsnummer" />
    <display:column property="description"
    title="Tätigkeit" />
    <display:column property="dining" title="Mittag" />
    <display:column property="distance"
    title="Kilometer" />
    <display:column property="hotel" title="Hotel" />
    <display:setProperty name="export.csv" value="false"
    />
    </display:table>

    AdmMgr is a managed bean. /admin/reports/index.jsp is the page which
    includes this code fragment. Its within <f:view> tags. Until now it worked
    quite good but I am not sure wether it is stable...
    I needed it for exporting purposes.

    Since it is not a JSF Tag it does not accept Value Binding.
    It works with $ . But don’t ask me why ;-)

    FYI. Now it doesnt work anymore. Don’t know why.
    Now I need a jsp:useBean statement and I have to set an request dummy
    variable. That’s strange but then it works again.

    I've been able to get the displaytag to work with MyFaces, but there's
    some "hacks" you have to do to expose a collection from a managed bean.
    You also need to create a dummy JavaScript function that you can call
    from a column in the displaytag if you want to click on a link to edit a
    row. Everything should be documented in the following link:

    https://equinox.dev.java.net/source/browse/*checkout*/equinox/extras/jsf/web/userList.jsp
