The Maven team is pleased to announce the release of the Maven Shade Plugin, version 2.0

Repackages the project classes together with their dependencies into a single uber-jar, optionally renaming classes
or removing unused classes.

You should specify the version in your project's plugin configuration:

<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-shade-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.0</version>
