Hi All,

When I got this problem I downloaded plink and puttygen.
Then generated ssh private/public keys.
Then I made ssh.bat.

-----ssh.bat------
@echo off

rem Nitin Verma

set SHH_CMD_LINE_ARGS=%1
if ""%1""=="""" goto doSSH
shift

:setupArgs
if ""%1""=="""" goto doSSH
set SHH_CMD_LINE_ARGS=%SHH_CMD_LINE_ARGS% %1
shift
goto setupArgs

:doSSH
plink -shh -i d:\putty\neo.PPK %SHH_CMD_LINE_ARGS%
goto end

:end

------------------

After that appended public key to /home/neo/.ssh/authorized_keys.
Tried a ssh on command line, and that worked.
Note: my.com is a lunix box.

e:\> ssh -l neo my.com "mkdir -p /home/neo/maven/repository/myprojects/jars"

Note: shh.bat is in my PATH

But I still get the same error!

Anyother settings needed?

    maven jar:deploy not workingSorry, don't know solution. But have related information.

    1. I don't use ssh.bat. Instead I add two properties in home build.properties:

    maven.scp.executable = C:\\Program\ Files\\putty\\pscp.exe
    maven.ssh.executable = C:\\Program\ Files\\putty\\plink.exe

    2. There is %* to pass .bat args to program. Works well on W2K

    Best regards,
    Alexey

    Hi All,

    setting:

    maven.scp.executable = C:\\putty\\pscp.exe
    maven.ssh.executable = C:\\putty\\plink.exe

    Didn't work for me!

    My plink/pscp don't work without -i private_key so made scp.bat also.
    And set

    maven.scp.executable = d:\\putty\\scp.bat
    maven.ssh.executable = d:\\putty\\ssh.bat

    Now it works... Thanx Alexey :-)

    But I get now get this error
    ---------------------------
    [exec] chgrp: invalid group name `maven'
    ---------------------------
    Do we have a property like "maven.usergroup"?

    Regards,

    Nitin Verma

    Not yet. Here's a internal info (in maven CVS, the property is
    different!). If you like, I can also send you the patch file.

    For maven 1.0-beta-9, you need to patch a file to make maven jar:install
    to work properly (1.0-beta-10 will contain this feature). Download file
    plugin.jelly.patch to your home directory ($HOME), open a command shell
    and execute

    cd $MAVEN_HOME;
    patch plugins/maven-jar-plugin-1.0/plugin.jelly <
    $HOME/plugin.jelly.patch

    If you prefer manual changing, change line 126 in file
    $MAVEN_HOME/plugins/maven-jar-plugin-1.0/plugin.jelly from

    siteCommand="cd @deployDirectory@; chmod g+w ${maven.jar.to.deploy};
    chgrp maven ${maven.jar.to.deploy};
    ln -sf ${maven.jar.to.deploy} ${pom.artifactId}-SNAPSHOT.jar;
    echo ${snapshotVersion} ${pom.artifactId}-snapshot-version"

    to

    siteCommand="cd @deployDirectory@; chmod g+w ${maven.jar.to.deploy};
    chgrp ${maven.remote.group} ${maven.jar.to.deploy};

    In the repository plugin, it's specified:

    maven.repository.group=maven

    Use this where you can....
