FAQ
Hi all,

I have tried to add a PMD report to the site:generate goal using
<report>pmd</report>, but this keeps failing.

It seems that the pmd plugin's "register" goal is under
"maven-pmd-plugin:register", but the "report" goal is under
"pmd:report", which confuses xdoc.

Trying <report>maven-pmd-plugin</report> does not work either.

Has anyone got this to work?

I tried to install the latest CVS version of the pmd plugin into maven
v1.0b8, but this didn't make any difference.

Is there something I am missing?

Regards,
Graham

Mhmm, I got the PMD plugin working with Maven B8 (and some help from
Martin Poeschl) before it was moved to the MAVEN CVS.

This release can be found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/maven-
    plugins/

I tried to have a look at the CVS repo but I currently get no
    connection ... :-(

    Hi Graham,

do you have pmd-1.03.jar in your local repo?! I checked IBIBLIO and
    there is only pmd-1.04.jar available.

    Cheers,

    Sigi

I changed the plugin to look for v1.04, and added the two dependancies
it needed, but it still didn't work :(

Going to try again to get the CVS version to compile using the Sun JDK
(I tried with the IBM v1.4.0 JDK and the build failed half way out of
memory) and see if I can get any joy.
