FAQ
Hi,
I have installed hadoop-0.19.2 on my system in a pseudo-distributed
mode and I am using hive to access data. When I am trying to access data by
executing a query (i. g. select * from *"table_name*" ) on hive , it is
giving me a following error.

*FAILED: Unknown exception : java.net.ConnectException: Call to localhost/
127.0.0.1:54310 failed on connection exception: java.net.ConnectException:
Connection refused*

Please help me to sovle this problem.

Thanking You

    Mohan,

Please take a look at /tmp/<username>/hive.log. It contains the full
    stack trace of the problem.
It seems like a configuration problem.

    hi Mohan,
From the namenode start log, I think your namenode and hdfs start
failed. When namenode start ,it will load two editlog file named edits and
edits.new, and it seems like these files are broken or the version is not
match.I think your problem is not from hive, but from hadoop.
