FAQ
Hi,
I have some problem using salt-syndic.

in the top master config:
##
order_masters: True
##

in the syndic config:
##
syndic_master: top master ip
###

I run salt-syndic as debug;

when I run "salt '*' test.ping " on top master,the salt-syndic has some
error:
##
[CRITICAL] An exception occurred while polling the syndic

Can anyone shed some light on this?

My 1st guess: multiple lines starting with "user" in your syndic's /etc/salt/master.
The configfile is yaml being parsed into one big dict.

Looks like there is a bug! From looking it seems to be a merge conflict. I
have a PR with the fix open (https://github.com/saltstack/salt/pull/19254).
I checked and 2014.7 doesn't have this issue-- so it seems that it was a
merge conflict from 2014.7 to develop.
