FAQ
Hey guys,

After a Salt Update, all my states broke on my CentOS 5.10 machines...

iptables:
   pkg:
     - installed
   file.managed:
     - name: /etc/sysconfig/iptables
     - source: salt://security/iptables/iptables
     - require:
        - pkg: iptables

Also tried...

iptables:
   pkg.installed

/etc/sysconfig/iptables:
    file.managed:
      - source: salt://security/iptables/iptables
      - require:
        - pkg: iptables

These both return...

local:
----------
           ID: iptables
     Function: pkg.installed
       Result: False
Comment: State pkg.installed found in sls security.iptables is
unavailable
      Changes:
----------
           ID: iptables
     Function: file.managed
         Name: /etc/sysconfig/iptables
       Result: False
Comment: One or more requisite failed
      Changes:

Master:
salt-2014.1.7-3.el6.noarch
salt-master-2014.1.7-3.el6.noarch

Minion:
salt-2014.1.7-3.el5
salt-minion-2014.1.7-3.el5

Any idea what is going on? Did we get a syntax or dramatic change with
2014.1.7?

These were working when my minions were on:
  salt-minion-2014.1.5-1.el5
  salt-2014.1.5-1.el5

This is very strange, I haven't heard of anyone else having issues like
this. Did you ever get this resolved? I'm late to the party here.
