FAQ
Hi,

I'm using salt 2014.1.7

I'd like to install TortoiseSVN onto a windows salt-minion. Silent
installation should be possible according to:
http://tortoisesvn.net/faq.html#silentinstall

I don't care what the install dir is, so I specified the winrepo file as
follows:
TortoiseSVN:
   1.8.7:
     installer:
     full_name: 'TortoiseSVN 1.8.7 (x64 edition)'
     reboot: False
     install_flags: ' /qn '
     msiexec: True
     uninstaller:
     uninstall_flags: ' /qn'

When I try to install I get the following on the minion:

[INFO ] Fetching file from saltenv 'base', ** done **
'win/repo/winrepo.p'
[WARNING ] Specified file
http://<ip-redacted>/windows/TortoiseSVN-1.8.7.25475-x64-svn-1.8.9.msi is
not present to generate hash
[INFO ] Executing command 'msiexec /i
"c:\\salt\\var\\cache\\salt\\minion\\extrn_files\\base\\<ip-redacted>\\windows\\TortoiseSVN-1.8.7.25475-x64-svn-1.8.9.msi"
  /qn ' in directory 'C:\\Users\\<redacted>'
[DEBUG ] output:
[DEBUG ] Initializing COM library
[DEBUG ] Uninitializing COM library
[ERROR ] The following packages failed to install/update:
TortoiseSVN=1.8.7.

The MSI is in the cache and from the command line I can run: msiexec /i
"c:\\salt\\var\\cache\\salt\\minion\\extrn_files\\base\\<ip-redacted>\\windows\\TortoiseSVN-1.8.7.25475-x64-svn-1.8.9.msi"
  /qn
which returns errorlevel 0. So I don't understand why it fails to install.

Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure what's going on here. Could you file an issue on Github so we
can investigate this? I want to get UtahDave involved, but he's often too
    busy to look at salt-users.
