http://www.tml.tkk.fi/~samuli/publications/laine2010tr1_paper.pdf Looks like Sparse Voxel Trees are the hottest in 3D modeling. And Carmack's gonna do it in Id Tech 6 and Doom 4, or something. Are there any graphics heavy weights working with Go?

I think there is a lot of room for algorithmic innovation here that probably would benefit from a language that has powerful and easy to control semantics. Efficient code generation might become a secondary criteria.
