FAQ
The 1.2 feature freeze is coming up at the end of the month, and lots
of bugs remain. If you want to see changes made or major bugs fixed in
the 1.2 release, please work on them now. After September 1, we'll be
in a quiet time for the release with only minor changes going in to
fix small bugs, add stability, or improve documentation.

I'd like to cast a vote for
    getting https://code.google.com/p/go/issues/detail?id=5428 fixed for 1.2.
It causes painful contortions in our test & deployment environments
    compared to our dev environments.
