Firebase will fall back to long polling if web sockets are not available,
so if you can view web pages on your network, Firebase should connect.

There were some optimizations to this process after V0, so as Mike said,
the latest version may help.

If you're not already, can you try using the very latest firebase.js

Thanks!

This is probably a security access issue, but when I'm on a private
network I can't get the firebase references to load from firebase servers.

WebSocket connection to 'wss://flowbetter.firebaseio.com/.ws?v=5'
failed: WebSocket is closed before the connection is established.

The page will load, but no firebase data is served...

Do I need to add something to my security file?

Our latest version is actually 1.0.19
    <http://cdn.firebase.com/js/client/1.0.19/firebase.js>. Upgrade and see if
that helps. If you are still having issues, please start a new thread with
    more details about your issue.
