Has anyone ever managed to compile forms and reports builder for AIX on
Power?

The frmcmp.sh script gives about as much feedback when things fail as Macro
Assembler used to.

Migrating forms from win32 to AIX is proving to be a challenge, given that
win32 is not case sensitive but unix is.

    We're on Solaris, and you do tend to see similar obtuse errors here...

    Generally, things comes down to environment:

    ld_library_path (or libpath for aix)
    path
    classpath (in some cases)
    permissions on files

    truss is often a good means to see where errors have occurred, and work from
    there
