FAQ
Hi,

I had a production DB on oracle 10g RAC with 2 instances. I had a
problem, so I switched to another server with a single instance.

Now I would return to the first configuration (DB RAC), it already
exists and I would use RMAN backup pieces.

Any idea for this switchover?

Regards

Shahinez

Since you mentioned switchover, Dataguard will be the best choice.
Build a standby in the RAC while the primary is the single instance,
and find a down time, switchover the primary to the RAC.
