Glen,
This is almost always an issue with the CD ROM driver
not supporting long filenames. When you browse the CD
from Windows Explorer, can you see the TRACESVR80
directory (I can't remember what directory it's
under)? If you have only a TRACESVR directory and all
the file names within it are only 8 characters long
then you've got an outdated device driver which can't
read long filenames.

Anita

I am getting frustrated. I tried to install ORACLE

I was told that there might be a cd-rom speed
problem, so I tried the install
from various shared machines, without results.
Another suggestion was that
I go through the registry using regedit and get rid
of all references to
ORACLE,
which I have done, with the same results. Does
anyone else have a suggestion
or solution?
