Can someone please provide an update on what is being done to push the 1.7
ref-guide out to the site and what is the ETA?

Thanks,
Adam

    Adam,

I have the 1.7 build output however the 1.7 website changed the header which means the copy I received has a different header than both the 1.6 site and the updated working 1.7 site, so the template needs to change. I've contacted Peter to find out how to do a build and am waiting to hear back. Once I know how to do it (without getting the errors I've seen) we can get this up.

I think we should push it as it is and fix it later.

The build is documented at http://oksoclap.com/22eEx9Hh4Q. Note that
there's a 1.7/ branch for the doc, which you switch to with the "git
    checkout 1.7" command.

1.7 was released two months ago; it's ridiculous that the 1.7 doc isn't up
on the site yet. It doesn't need to be tied to the new version of the
    website.

Colin looked at it yesterday and the only big problem was that the
codeglass "run" button wasn't visible, so that demos couldn't be run.
(The other issue he mentioned was that syntax highlighting wasn't working
on javascript code blocks, which should no longer have <script> and
</script> tags. I'm working on fixing that now.)

I totally understand your frustration but I don't know what I can honestly do about this. I only got the export last night so I'm trying to do what I can with what I have.

The new site is almost there, it has some stuff we're cleaning up and fixing right now to be able to launch later this week, it currently looks like this: http://staging.dojotoolkit.org/ the problem is that the header on the export is slightly different and the header on the 1.6 site is completely different, so what exactly is it that you want me to do? What I'm trying to do is get these last things finished on the site and export the new 1.7 docs with the proper header and get this all released before Friday. This seems reasonable to me, is there another course of action that makes more sense?

Also, thank you for the doc on how to build, I'm looking at that now.

I think the plan of record was that, because we're 2 months late with docs
on a release that was several months late, we were going to do this
piecemeal and not wait for the new site. That decision came several weeks
ago, and I think it's still worth doing now, even if codeglass or some
other element is not functioning. What's involved?

Also, will there be a preview period for folks to help test and proofread
the new site? Or are you looking for comments now?
