Hello all,
I'm stumped on this one. I have a cluster of running, dedicated instances
for a Cloudera Hadoop cluster. Each AMI has:
Private IP address
Private DNS entry
EIP Public IP address
EIP Public DNS entry
I've tried various combinations that seemed logical in the /etc/hosts file
to get CM 5 installation to succeed, but regardless of what I use, the
installation fails on the ping from the agent step with:
Installation failed. Failed to receive heartbeat from agent.
My question is:
What addresses/hostnames do I need in /etc/hosts?
What addresses/hostnames do I supply to CM 5 in the host search box?
