    I am using cloudera manager to configure hbase so not sure how and where I have to delete things and I don't use parcels I use packages so please help and advise how to resolve this issue.

    Hi,

    I didn't have a solution for this and since nobody replied I nuked the all
    HBase service + the zookeeper service and started again from the beginning.

    since I am testing on a small dev cluster, it wasn't too much of a problem
    for me.
