FAQ
Do I have to use root for CM Path B installation? I'd like CM server and
its agents running under non-root user. Is it possible? Thanks.

    Hi Zhu,

Regardless of how you install CM, CM server by default runs as
"cloudera-scm". Currently, the master agent process (supervisord) must run
as root. We're looking at relaxing this restriction, but for now this is
    true.

    Thanks,
    Darren
