FAQ
Hi Guys,

We have Jobtracker Failure issue, When it fails it doesn't log anything
in log file. Even "Automatically Restart Process" feature in Cloudera
Manager is not working.

JobTracker (Default) / AdvancedAutomatically Restart Process
Reset to the default value: false
<http://hnn001.dev.smq.mgnt.cc:7180/cmf/service/20/roleType/JOBTRACKER/group/mapreduce1-JOBTRACKER-BASE/config/process_auto_restart?wizardMode=false&returnUrl=%2Fcmf%2Fservices%2F20%2Fconfig&filterValue=>

When set, this role's process is automatically (and transparently)
restarted in the event of an unexpected failure.

Anyone familiar with this issue we are having ?

Thanks

On your JobTracker page in CM UI, there should be a tab "Processes". Under
that there should be a Process for starting JT. Can you post the contents
    of stdout and stderr here?

    Hi Roy,

    Your stdout says:
    java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

How much heap did you allocate to the JobTracker? How much RAM does your
    machine have total?

    Thanks,
    Darren

We have total 32 GB of RAM on Machine, and 1 GB was allocated to
JobTracker, now I increased to 2GB. I think this should resolved the issue
    we had.
    Thanks for the help.
