FAQ
Hello,

I'am a trainee new user (about 2 weeks) of CDH 5. I installed it by
cloudera express. Everything was running well since the begining but today
i did a dumb mistake. I was trying some stuff with hive on hue and at a
moment i did that (i don't know why ...) :

INSERT OVERWRITE LOCAL DIRECTORY '/'
SELECT *
FROM matable;

I did that on my NodeManager which is my HueServer. So, after executing my
request, I had a lot of warning message ... And, after that, my Hue was not
running, and now, i can't restart it because it's too long ( 150 secondes
timeout by cloudera manager). So I'm pretty sure my query overwrite a file
on hue (all others services looks running well). So i tried to re-install
Hue by the cloudera manager butit's impossible. I checked the hue log and
nothing helped me.

Is it possible to re-install the hue service like after my 1st installation
?

Sorry for my bad english and thanks for the help,

Thomas

    Hey Thomas,

Can you shutdown Hue in Cloudera Manager. Then login to the NodeManager
host that Hue was running on and try "ps -ef| grep hue". Can you send
    those results?

    Thanks
    Chris
