HS2 process monitoring

Since HiveServer2(HS2) does not expose /jmx or equivalent metrics,
CM cannot collect metrics about HS2's usage. If you just wanted to
restart the HS2 process in the event of an unexpected failure, you
should check the "Automatically Restart Process" option then the
process will be restarted.
Hive server --> Configuration --> HiveServer2 --> Advanced -->
"Automatically Restart Process"

Yeah, then enabling "Automatically Restart Process" works.
CM agents itself run supervisord and it will detect the process down and do
restart.
