Hello:

I am trying to install CM 5 on CentOS 6.5 but getting 404 errors

    Hi Asoto,

    Your url has "cm4" and "cm/4" which need to be replaced with "cm5" and
    "cm/5".

    Thanks,
    Darren

    Hmm... but it is the CM installer who controls these URLs.
    Maybe I downloaded the wrong installer?

    I just downloaded the installer again. I made sure I downloaded version 5.
       The URLs are still wrong:

    http://archive.cloudera.com/cm4/redhat/6/x86_64/cm/4/RPMS/x86_64/cloudera-manager-daemons-5.0.0-1.cm500.p0.215.el6.x86_64.rpm

    Looks a like a bug in the installer. If not, then how do I correct these
    URLs?

    Asoto,

    Please review the requirements documentation here;

    We do not yet support RHEL/Centos/Oracle linux 6.5 yet.

    http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/CM5/latest/Cloudera-Manager-Installation-Guide/cm5ig_cm_requirements.html

    While this does not directly map to the issue you are seeing (the
    strange URL), please be aware that 6.5 is not a supported OS release
    level at this time.

    We are verifying what you are seeing with the installer in the meantime.

    My mistake; however, the installer did not issue any warnings about the OS
    version, and I don't seem to be able to find CentOS 6.4 in any of the
    official mirrors I tried.

    At this point I am only interested in evaluating the new version. Is the
    new Cloudera VM image coming out soon?

    Asoto,

    Please review the requirements documentation here;

    We do not yet support RHEL/Centos/Oracle linux 6.5 yet.

    http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/CM5/latest/Cloudera-Manager-Installation-Guide/cm5ig_cm_requirements.html

    While this does not directly map to the issue you are seeing (the strange
    URL), please be aware that 6.5 is not a supported OS release level at this
    time.

    We are verifying what you are seeing with the installer in the meantime.
