FAQ
Hi,

I'm trying to use the distributed cache on my cluster equipped with CDH
4.6, but althoug it works in local mode when lauched via java -jar from
eclipse (or the same command from terminal), it doesn't work when launched
using hadoop jar command :

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
org.apache.hadoop.mapreduce.Job.addCacheFile(Ljava/net/URI;)V

I tried a few things but nothing has worked so far. Can you help me ?

    Hi Kévin,

    You're packing a CDH4 YARN+MR2 library dependency into your compiled
    jar, but are running it on an MRv1 library backed cluster. Note that
    MRv1 is forward compatible, but not backward compatible with MR2 jobs.

    Please use the right, MR1, set of dependencies as described at
    http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/CDH4/4.2.0/CDH4-Installation-Guide/cdh4ig_topic_31_1.html
