Hi Lu Zhen,
That is an extremely old version of Cloudera Manager and CDH. I highly
recommend you upgrade to the latest versions to get a huge number of bug
fixes, performance improvements, new features, etc.
In the CM versions released in the last ~1.5 years (those are the only ones
with which I have experience), each java-based role in CM allows you to
configure this via the a property named something like "Java Configuration
Options for DataNode". It's located in the Advanced category within each
role type / group. The particular setting you want is already there by
default in the latest versions. I'm not sure to what degree this is true in
CM 3.7.8, but it may be similar.

I want to set JVM properties like "XX:+ConcMarkSweepGC and
-XX:-CMSConcurrentMTEnabled", is there any "Java Runtime Safety Valve" in
How to config it?
