FAQ
Hello,
I just started working with hive. Can you tell me how to add a new
HiveServer2 role and start it?
Thanks

I do not see hive.server2.thrift.port (10000) running on the nodes and at
the same time I do not see any warnings on Cloudera Manager. Am I missing
something here ? I would appreciate any pointers here.

    Hi Hermann,

To add a HiveServer2 role, click on your Hive service, go to Instances, and
click Add, then follow the wizard. If you don't have a Hive service, go to
the home page, click the dropdown menu by your cluster name, and go through
    the Add Service wizard.

In the future, please create new threads for new topics.

    Thanks,
    Darren
