Hi Guys,
We are using CM-4.7.0 with CDH 4.4.0 and we are trying to enable Namenode
HA.
do this via Cloudera Manager where there is an option to enable High
Availability in the HDFS Services.
The process succeeds until where it says initializing shared edits
directory and it times out after 330 secs. It proceeds again with the
remaining steps and fails.
when it tries to failover from the standby name node to the active name
node and throws exception. The retry option fails again at the same point.
In my case:
I have selected three journal node. and directory location for the
JournalNode edits directory into the fields for each JournalNode host.
After process starts initializing shared edits timeout exception.
