Hi,

We installed the latest version of Cloudera Manager 4.6.3 on a 11 node
cluster yesterday.

In this current version, we noticed that after all the CDH packages are
installed, the CM does not allow us to choose which services to deploy on a
node. It installed the NameNode, JobTracker and other monitoring services
on the 1st node and the rest 10 were the compute nodes. In the previous
versions, immediately after installing the CDH packages, we could choose
the services to be deployed on any particular node.

I wish to know that if there was any reason to disable this functionality
from the current version of CM.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

    Hi Sachin,

    As far as I'm aware, we've not actually disabled this functionality. There
    was a button along the path labelled "inspect role assignments" which you
    probably skipped over. It's not the default path (and never has been).
