FAQ
I just attempted to set up a new test cluster with the latest cloudera
manager, and about five screens into the cloudera-manager-installer.bin
script it fails with an error indicating the
log: /var/log/cloudera-manager-installer/3.install-cloudera-manager-server.log

That log has the following errors:

Downloading Packages:
http://archive.cloudera.com/cm4/redhat/6/x86_64/cm/4/RPMS/x86_64/cloudera-manager-daemons-4.6.1-1.cm461.p0.175.x86_64.rpm:
[Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 22 - "The requested URL returned error: 404"
Trying other mirror.

[Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 22 - "The requested URL returned error: 404"
Trying other mirror.

Error Downloading Packages:
   cloudera-manager-server-4.6.1-1.cm461.p0.175.x86_64: failure:
RPMS/x86_64/cloudera-manager-server-4.6.1-1.cm461.p0.175.x86_64.rpm from

cloudera-manager: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

In fact, if you look at the contents of
http://archive.cloudera.com/cm4/redhat/6/x86_64/cm/4/RPMS/x86_64/ the
indicated packages do not exist. I'm 99% positive that I am using a freshly
downloaded cloudera manager .bin script from this
site: http://go.cloudera.com/cloudera-enterprise-trial-download.html

Am I doing something wrong, or is the repo horked?

    Hi Matt,

It could be worth quickly purging your yum cache to make sure it polls the
    baseurl (http://archive.cloudera.com/cm4/redhat/6/x86_64/cm/4/<http://archive.cloudera.com/cm4/redhat/6/x86_64/cm/4/RPMS/x86_64/>)
for the latest files. As of a few days back, 4.6.1 was what would have been
found in the /4/ path, but now that 4.6.2 was released the /4/ URL points
    always to the latest version.

That said, please run $ rm -rf /var/cache/yum/cloudera* and re-try.

"yum clean all" did the trick, thanks!
