FAQ
Hi All -

After the initial setup CM I found myself needing to alter the host names
to match the DNS entries. This led to having to delete all previous hosts
and add the hosts back in with the new names. But the embedded database is
still currently assigned to run of the previous version of the host name.
Is there a way to edit this?

Not quite sure what you mean. Perhaps: There are a handful of settings
wherein we point to the embedded database:
/etc/cloudera-scm-server/db.properties, and then all the "database
hostname" settings in various monitoring daemons. You should just walk
through the UI and update the host names there.
