How does parcels work in Cloudera

Hi,

I have the below doubts.

1) I have downloaded CDH,Impal,Solr ,distributed them and activated them on
the cluster.

2) I have added services for hdfs, mapreduce , zookeeper , solr.

3)When i go to command line prompt from that particular server and run the
below command

service zookeeper-server status , i get the below output

unrecognized command.

Same issue with solr.

4) In cloudera documentation there are steps to install these services
separately , should we follow these steps when we use parcels.

Can some explain this.
