FAQ
HI everyone

The lastest cloudera manager 4.6 has a lot more monitoring metrics.
So I'm browsing my services and hosts to get a feel of where improvements
can be done.
So message or warnings are self explanatory. However I find ohers to be
more criptic or too general.
All my hosts have a yellow concerning health label.
The reason proposed is:
*The host has 1 network interface(s) that appear to be operating at less
than full speed. Warning threshold: any.*
*
*
Has anyone had this issue and directions or ways of fixing it?
I see it's about the network interface but I'm unclear as to what exactly.
I have configured port reuse and all seems good. I'm unclear as to what I
can do to fix this.Maybe cloudera manager has pages in the gui where I can
get a better feel of what this means more precisely.
I anyone is kind enough to share configurations or ways to check it.

thank you

It means that you might have an interface that's negotiated
half-duplex or less than full capable speed. You can run:
    $ sudo ethtool eth0 | grep 'Speed\|Duplex'

And do it for all other nic's that are up. You should see 1000Mb/s and
    full duplex.

    [Adding scm-users]

You can set it in CM -> Hosts tab -> All hosts configuration tab ->
Monitoring -> Other -> Network interface expected link speed

    Speed: 100Mb/s

I have the above output for all my nodes.
But still see the concerning health error.
"The health of this role's host is concerning. The following health checks
    are concerning: network interface speed."

what is the parameter name to set the speed threshold ?!

    thanking you, in advance.
