    Hi padhu ,

I think restarting services of cluster will solve it
do run the following command on namenode terminal to restart the cluster
    services

    *cd $HADOOP_HOME/bin*
*# sh stop-all.sh* -- to stop all the services check all the services
are down after that run the following
command to start the service and check the
    logs

    *#sh start-all.sh*

    Thanks

Some process is bound to port 8021. To find out what it is, run:

    $ sudo lsof -P -n -i | grep LISTEN | grep 8021
    foo *644* root 3u IPv6 1512 0t0 TCP *:8021 (LISTEN)

    And then run "ps *644*".

    Hi Padhu,

    See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephemeral_port

50060 is an ephemeral port. Any process (hadoop or otherwise) might
randomly pick it. See what's listening on that port, shut it down (if it's
safe to do so), start the job tracker, then start the other guy back up
    again.

You may also want to change the JT to use a different port that isn't in
the ephemeral range. That will prevent this from happening again in the
    future.

    Thanks,
    Darren
