FAQ
Hi All,

In the configuration tab of any service ex : hbase, It groups up nodes like
RegionServer(Base) and RegionServer(1). Can I just set/change a property to
the base and does the child get the inherited value ? When I try to change
value of RegionServer(1) it does show up Inherited value. Can somebody
throw light on how this exactly works ?

Thanks,
Abhinav

    Hi Abhinav,

The RegionServer (Base) group and the RegionServer (1) group are simply
    different groups.
They both Inherit from the default value, not from each other.

    Thanks,

    Andrew
