Hi,
I'm tryng install Mahout to work with the services of Cloudera Manager...
I installing the mahout using apt-get

My question is how could I link mahout with the services that i already
have running in cloudera manager?

    Hi Ana,

    Mahout is a simple client-side installation and you can use it
    directly after installing. It does not provide nor require any
    services to be run first.

    Once you have deployed your client configurations from Cloudera
    Manager [1], you can simply follow the Mahout documentation and get
    started with the "mahout"/"hadoop" commands, as they are regular jobs.

    Sharath,

    Cloudera Manager manages cluster services, and Mahout is not one. CDH
    provides Apache Mahout and we support anything we ship as CDH completely.

    You can refer to https://cwiki.apache.org/MAHOUT/mahout-wiki.html to
    understand what Mahout is, and how to run it. It is just a set of
    jobs/algorithms, which isn't relevant in Cloudera Manager's management
    context.

    Basically: 1. Install Mahout. 2. Use Mahout. There is nothing to "run"
    first.
