Hi Ana,
Mahout is a simple client-side installation and you can use it
directly after installing. It does not provide nor require any
services to be run first.
Once you have deployed your client configurations from Cloudera
Manager [1], you can simply follow the Mahout documentation and get
started with the "mahout"/"hadoop" commands, as they are regular jobs.
