FAQ
Dear all,

I am a CM user and the current version is CDH 4.2.0. I tried to use flume
service. However, the current flume version does not meet my requirement.
Therefore, I would like to modify the source code and re-packed into a new
parcel and distributed to my whole hosts. However, I cannot find any CDH
4.2.0 source code on the internet to let me fork it.
Can you provide me where I can fork/download the whole CDH 4.2.0 file? By
doing so, I can re-packed to a complete parcel file after modifying the
code.

Best regards,

    Here it is.
    https://repository.cloudera.com/artifactory/cloudera-repos/org/apache/flume/

I often do download these sources and debug/inspect code.

Here is a catalog with flume-ng-core used in CDH 4.2.0
    https://repository.cloudera.com/artifactory/cloudera-repos/org/apache/flume/flume-ng-core/1.3.0-cdh4.2.0/

Here is jar with SOURCES (suggest you to read about maven and maven
    packaging functionality):
    https://repository.cloudera.com/artifactory/cloudera-repos/org/apache/flume/flume-ng-core/1.3.0-cdh4.2.0/flume-ng-core-1.3.0-cdh4.2.0-sources.jar

Just download this jar and attach as a source in your IDE.
I do use Intelli JIdea, I do pick any jar in dependency and choose
attach source. Then I do pick downloaded jar with sources. Thah's all.
