The url is not working when I am clicking it or trying to copy past it.

Please take the time to respond it.

    Hi Saurav,

The error from Yum appears to be odd to me. The version of repo
indicates you are running a CM 4.5 beta, but the file it appears to
try to access is from a stable version 4.1.4. I think running "yum
clean all" on the erroring nodes would help this case, as the cache of
Yum may be corrupt (i.e. not updated to reflect the actual listing and
    names of the needed packages).

The url is not working when I am clicking it or trying to copy past it.

Your machines have quite a bit of problems. Easiest, if possible
tool-wise, would be to reimage these boxes. However, I've listed down
    the problems:

    1. You have both CDH and HDP repositories configured. HDP must be
removed for CDH to be installed, and is causing the native dependency
issues you're facing now. Repository configuration lies under
/etc/yum.repos.d/ directory. HDP is based on an old release of Apache
Hadoop and its packaging is causing conflicts with the new Apache
    Hadoop artifacts that CDH4 packs.
    2. You may have both CM 4.5 and CM 4.1 repos configured. Only one of
them must exist. These repos are also found as files under the above
mentioned directory. Leave only the version of CM you intend to
    install.

So next I try with clouera 4.1.4 as it is latest release

Any though on this is it the issue with Cloudera manger 4.5 installation.

If the link is not working then why is it in the scrip of the clouera
    manger
and what is the work around.

The url is not working when I am clicking it or trying to copy past it.

Please take the time to respond it.

Your machines have quite a bit of problems. Easiest, if possible
tool-wise, would be to reimage these boxes. However, I've listed down
    the problems:

    1. You have both CDH and HDP repositories configured. HDP must be
removed for CDH to be installed, and is causing the native dependency
issues you're facing now. Repository configuration lies under
/etc/yum.repos.d/ directory. HDP is based on an old release of Apache
Hadoop and its packaging is causing conflicts with the new Apache
    Hadoop artifacts that CDH4 packs.
    2. You may have both CM 4.5 and CM 4.1 repos configured. Only one of
them must exist. These repos are also found as files under the above
mentioned directory. Leave only the version of CM you intend to
    install.

Description: Hadoop is a software platform that lets one easily write and

    :
: Here's what makes Hadoop especially useful:
: * Scalable: Hadoop can reliably store and process petabytes.
: * Economical: It distributes the data and processing across
: clusters of commonly available computers. These clusters can
: number into the thousands of nodes.
: * Efficient: By distributing the data, Hadoop can process it in
: parallel on the nodes where the data is located. This makes it
    : extremely rapid.
: * Reliable: Hadoop automatically maintains multiple copies of data
: and automatically redeploys computing tasks based on failures.
    :
: Hadoop implements MapReduce, using the Hadoop Distributed File
: System (HDFS). MapReduce divides applications into many small

Your machines have quite a bit of problems. Easiest, if possible
tool-wise, would be to reimage these boxes. However, I've listed down
    the problems:

    1. You have both CDH and HDP repositories configured. HDP must be
removed for CDH to be installed, and is causing the native dependency
issues you're facing now. Repository configuration lies under
/etc/yum.repos.d/ directory. HDP is based on an old release of Apache
Hadoop and its packaging is causing conflicts with the new Apache
    Hadoop artifacts that CDH4 packs.
    2. You may have both CM 4.5 and CM 4.1 repos configured. Only one of
them must exist. These repos are also found as files under the above
mentioned directory. Leave only the version of CM you intend to
    install.

This error appears to be a local limitation. Do you perhaps require a
proxy to access internet URLs on your Linux servers? For instances,
does a "wget google.com" work and download an index.html file? But
compared to previous error, this appears like progress.

Your machines have quite a bit of problems. Easiest, if possible
tool-wise, would be to reimage these boxes. However, I've listed down
    the problems:

    1. You have both CDH and HDP repositories configured. HDP must be
removed for CDH to be installed, and is causing the native dependency
issues you're facing now. Repository configuration lies under
/etc/yum.repos.d/ directory. HDP is based on an old release of Apache
Hadoop and its packaging is causing conflicts with the new Apache
    Hadoop artifacts that CDH4 packs.
    2. You may have both CM 4.5 and CM 4.1 repos configured. Only one of
them must exist. These repos are also found as files under the above
mentioned directory. Leave only the version of CM you intend to
    install.

This is probably the issue thats leading to the repos not being found or used:

    [cghosh@usmbg-lcldpoct1 cloudera-manager-installer]$ more 1.install-repo-pkg.log
    warning: /etc/yum.repos.d/cloudera-manager.repo created as
    /etc/yum.repos.d/cloudera-manager.repo.rpmnew

Can you remove all files named "cloudera-manager.*" and
"cloudera-cdh4.*" from /etc/yum.repos.d/ from all hosts before you
    re-invoke your cloudera-manager-installer.bin again?

In future, please post a new topic for a new problem instead of
    bumping an older one.

There is a specific path through the documentation to do what you are
indicating you want to do, which is building out a cluster of
    non-internet connected systems.

As a background SELinux must be disabled, and really its best if you
disable whatever firewalling you have in place during install/config.
You can then review the discussion on the ports used by CM/CDH here to
set firewalling back up if necessary:
    http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/CM4Free/4.5.4/Configuring-Ports-for-Cloudera-Manager-Free-Edition/Configuring-Ports-for-Cloudera-Manager-Free-Edition.html

First start your reading here: You will follow path B or C, as Path A
requires internet connectivity - you will not be able to use the
    automated installer in your case.
    http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/CM4Ent/latest/Cloudera-Manager-Installation-Guide/cmig_install_cm_cdh.html

    Then review this section:
    http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/CM4Ent/latest/Cloudera-Manager-Installation-Guide/cmig_custom_installation.html

And finally to properly build your own local repo you will review this
    content here:
    http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/CM4Ent/latest/Cloudera-Manager-Installation-Guide/cmig_create_local_repo.html

After reviewing these, you will be better equipped to ask more specific
questions as you run into issues, having followed the steps indicated
    for successful installation.

Let us know how things are going as you get through your local repo
    setup, following the guide.

This is probably the issue thats leading to the repos not being found or

    warning: /etc/yum.repos.d/cloudera-manager.repo created as
    /etc/yum.repos.d/cloudera-manager.repo.rpmnew

Can you remove all files named "cloudera-manager.*" and
"cloudera-cdh4.*" from /etc/yum.repos.d/ from all hosts before you
    re-invoke your cloudera-manager-installer.bin again?

In future, please post a new topic for a new problem instead of
    bumping an older one.
