Hi I downloaded *HiveODBCDriverSetupx64 Microsoft* which acts as ODBC
driver as well as add in to excel its works well with Microsoft azure
platform but when connecting it to with cloudera platform of hive then it
is not able to connect it I have opened the ports 8888 and 10000 but it
throws error not able to connect to hive server also I am using no
authentication option while connecting excel to hive .Any suggestion are
welcomed thanks in advance .

    Avinash,
    What version of CDH are you using? I am not very familiar with
    HiveODBCDriverSetupx64 from Microsoft. Does it require a particular version
    of Hive?
    Can you try telnet'ing into Hive server on port 10000 from the same client
    machine and see if that works?
