FAQ
I'm running an environment with Debian/Ubuntu nodes.

I'm seeing on the documentation pages that you need RHEL/CentOS 6.2 for the
manual install of impala.

Does it mean that I can install Impala on Debian/Ubuntu nodes with CM4.1.1?
I tried to but even though it says it "succeeded", I am quite sure it's not
properly installed as I am getting errors regarding missing folders, users,
etc.

Cheers,
James

bcc:scm-users +impala-user - moving to Impala since this is not a Cloudera
    Manager question.

Impala is currently available and tested for RHEL/CentOS6.2. We are working
on making Impala available for Debian/Ubuntu versions and other OSes.

    Stay tuned!
