hi Joey,
I was advised by Srinivasan Ramalingam to use /etc/hosts. But my other team
mates also trying their hand at CDH4 configuration and i have heard that
they got help on DNS resolution at some point of time while configuring. If
you provide me steps for DNS resolution then I can try those as it seems
that
inspector host error is not going away with /etc/hosts thing.

I would check on your host name resolution. Are you using DNS or
/etc/hosts?
