FAQ
bcc:cdh-dev; to: scm-users

The installer roughly does "yum install jdk
cloudera-manager-server-dbcloudera-manager-server
cloudera-manager-daemons", "/etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-server-db initdb",
"/etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-server-db start",
"/etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-server start", and asks you to visit
http://<hostname>:7180/.
The exact steps are outlined in
https://ccp.cloudera.com/display/ENT4DOC/Installation+Path+B+-+Installation+Using+Your+Own+Method.
You can do that to avoid the cloudera-manager-installer.bin file.

Cheers,

How can i run CM without any prompt interaction ?
Can I do it with parameters - with the same cloudera-manager-installer.bin
installation file?
Or do I need to download a new installer that support the silent install?

Could you clarify on what you mean by silent installation? CDH and CM
both support package based installations with zero prompt interaction.
Is that what you're asking for?

Try running the installer with options: --i-agree-to-all-licenses
    --noprompt --noreadme
